The All Open Volleyball Tournament held at Chhatwal, Pathankot, on 18 July 2026 was a memorable celebration of sportsmanship, discipline, and the true spirit of volleyball. Conducted in a rotation format, the tournament brought together strong and talented teams, including many distinguished Army sides, making every match intensely competitive and exciting.

The event reflected the energy of the players and the enthusiasm of the spectators, with each team displaying remarkable teamwork, determination, and respect for the game. After a day of thrilling encounters, GANDHIAN emerged as the champions, securing first place with an outstanding performance. SSM College earned second place, proving their skill and fighting spirit throughout the tournament.

The Chhatwal tournament will be remembered not only for its excellent volleyball but also for uniting players, supporters, and the local community in a shared passion for sport.

The greatest highlight of the Chhatwal (Pathankot) All Open Volleyball Tournament was the remarkable presence and discipline of the Army teams. Their punctual arrival at the ground, readiness to play, and professional conduct set a wonderful example for every participant.

Because of this discipline and cooperation, the event was conducted as a truly perfect rotational tournament. Matches progressed smoothly, every team received its fair opportunity, and the entire tournament reflected excellent planning, unity, and respect for the game. Balachaur Tournament was held on 15 and 16 October 2022

Teams listed below participated in the tournament:

  1. LPU
  2. GOVT. COLLEGE LUDHIANA
  3. KUKKARSUHA
  4. HSIIDC
  5. JAGDEV KALAN A
  6. UTTRAKHAND (JAI MAA TELECOM)
  7. MASTER GYM
  8. CHANDIGARH
  9. SPORTS COLLEGE JALANDHAR
  10. MHENDWANI GUJJRAN
  11. BSF

Out of these 11 teams LPU, HSIIDC, UTTRAKHAN (JAI MAA TELECOM) & GOVT. COLLEGE LUDHIANA made it to the SEMI-FINALS.

1st semi-final match was the highlight of the tournament which was between HSIIDC and GOVT. COLLEGE LUDHIANA. Everyone watching was in for a surprize because HSIIDC lost to GOVT. COLLEGE LUDHIANA which is training under Mr. Sunil Chautala and it was fairly a new and inexperienced team compared to HSIIDC But it shows the training abilities of the coach like Mr. Sunil Chautala. The final match was between LPU and GOVT. COLLEGE LUDHIANA.

LPU became the winner of the tournament and won 41,000 Rs/-and GOVT. COLLEGE LUDHIANA went home with 31,000 Rs/-

On the day one village level matches were conducted. RAJU MAJRA and UDHANWAL made it to the final and RAJU MAJRA won the village level tournament. Matches of over 40 year years old players were also organized and RAJU MAJRA won the Final match.
